The global culture is changing rapidly, with Islam overtaking Christendom; Islam has now overtaken Catholicism as the world's largest religion. In order for a culture to maintain itself for a period of 25 years requires a fertility rate of 2.1 children per family. A fertility rate of 1.9 has never been reversed and a 1.3 rate is said to have an zero probability rate of reversal in that it would require 80-100 years for a reversal.
The European Union, which is made up of 31 countries is on an irreversible course, with a 1.38 fertility rate, whereas Muslim immigrants have a fertility rate of about 8 (in France 8.1 per family). By 2025 one third of all children born in the European Union will be Muslim. It is estimated that by 2050, the entire continent will be Islamic. A quote from Maummar al-Gaddifi, leader of Libya; "There are signs that Allah will grant victory to Islam in Europe without swords, without guns, without conquest. We don't need terrorists, we don't need suicide bombers, with 50 million Muslims (in Europe) we will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades."
Canada is going in the same direction as is the United States. Presently the U.S. has a 1.6 fertility rate per family; we also are headed on an irreversible course. At an Islamic Strategy Conference held in Chicago, part of their agenda was to address this issue: "We must prepare ourselves for the reality that in 30 years, there will be 50 million Muslims living in America."
How does one reverse this course? Countries may have all the "increase our population" campaigns, increased tax credits for larger families, or whatever else one can imagine, but the effects of any or all is bound to be minimal and have little effect on low fertility rates. Western culture has changed what with more wives working outside the home, less influence from religion, more birth control; a myriad of reasons as to why we are having less children, all have contributed to a culture that produces less children than previous generations.
Europe will be lost in a few decades. If America is to avoid Islamicization, what can be done? The most logical method would be to increase legal immigration from our southern border. Our fertility rate rises from 1.6 per family to 2.1 when increased Latino immigration is factored in. Latino culture is quite compatible with American culture; Latinos assimilate well into America. The same cannot be said with much of the Muslim culture. It is a fact that radical Islam's ultimate goal is to Islamisize the entire globe. It would be in our country's best interest to work towards real immigration reform, build the damned border fence and increase legal immigration levels for our neighbors to the south. Our country's future depends on it.
